Our Story
We could sit here and tell you about mash bills and flavor profiles... and we will... later. Instead, let us share the lore that brought this bourbon to life.
Everyday when the sun rises and shines down on the gulf coast, it illuminates the beautiful sands and nourishes the unique wildlife. After a day of heat, wind, and unpredictable rain, the sun sets. Its glow darkens until there is no more light. But just before, calming hues of red and orange combine creating a glow not found elsewhere; an Auburn Sun.
The founder wanted to capture this in a bourbon, his favorite drink. Something that connected the timeless tradition of distilling, blending, and tasting to an Auburn Sun. The problem was he had no recipe. No inherited knowledge from generations of distillers and not exactly sure what would create the taste he desired.
He started with corn. Then a touch of rye, but that flavor was too harsh. So he added some malt. Now a bit sweeter and with the harshness gone, it was time to let it age in the finest charred oak barrels.
He tasted it and loved it the first time.
